The Space

Room 223 is a unique two-room stay on the second floor of Hot Lake Springs Resort, featuring a Queen bed, attached private living room, and beautiful mountain views. The shared restroom and shower are located down the hall (single-use but available to other lodge guests), with a laptop-friendly workspace adding convenience in this distinctive historic room with curved walls.

The room retains authentic historic charm—think century-old windows and doors—while offering modern comfort with portable air conditioning in summer. Sound travels easily in the historic building, so please keep voices low at night and early mornings.

Please note: There are no TVs, phones, or central A/C. The geothermal heating system uses radiators that may become hot to the touch and occasionally make noise. The historic elevator is currently non-operational, so be prepared to use stairs.

Our Location

We’re located in rural Eastern Oregon, 5 miles from Interstate 84 and 8 miles south of La Grande—a “hidden gem” offering an authentic, undiscovered experience. Short day trips to Pendleton, Baker City, or Joseph are easy from here.

Other Things to Note

  • We are a non-smoking and non-vaping property.
  • Pets are not allowed on the property. This applies to all guests.
  • For safety reasons, children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the lodging at this time.
  • 24 Hour soaking privileges: Lodging guests enjoy soaking from 2:00 PM on the date of arrival until 2:00 PM on the date of departure. Access will be unavailable during scheduled cleaning (typically 2:00 AM – 5:00 AM on Mondays and Thursdays) or during lightning storms for guest safety.
